According to CNGC’s ownership,  “We have been planning for the future – for our family, for our membership, and for our great and loyal team.   We have been considering how to leverage our success and take our facility to the next level, and partnering with SW Greens will help us get there.  We are ecstatic to combine our expertise with that of SW Greens, and what this means for our patrons, for our loyal Erie supporters, for the University of Colorado golf teams, and our existing membership base.   We could not be more excited to execute a strategy that makes Colorado National Golf Club a jewel of golf offerings.”

Bear Dance Golf Club, located in Larkspur, Colorado, owned and operated by SW Greens, has been perennially ranked the Number ONE golf public golf course in Colorado.   Since opening, Bear Dance has achieved the Top billing for #1 Public Golf course in 14 out of 15 years of operations.   It’s golf shop was the Merchandiser of the Year in 2015, coupled with honors in multiple categories of Service, Food and Beverage, and Best Colorado Tournament Venue.

According to Stuart Bruening, Co-owner of SW Greens, “The opportunity to bring our brand and philosophy of first class service and product offering at all levels to CNGC could not be more exciting.   This is an exciting time for our Bear Dance patrons, and we are eager to get going with the CNGC management team.   Colorado National is a spectacular facility and one of the few places representative of our first class brand.  We’ve seen a number or opportunities both locally and nationally, and have passed.   We could not miss the opportunity to align with Colorado National.”

At a time when there is much debate about declining participation in golf, Bruening continues,  “We are learning that if you treat people with great service, and deliver outstanding golf value, we are seeing record participation in golf from both young and old.   The game is growing.   We have serviced more patrons in 2016 than any prior year.   We are upbeat about the future of golf in Colorado.”

There is no question that Colorado weather begets great conditions.   “No bugs, no humidity and crisp mornings…where else would you rather play?” says Matt Schalk, Director of Golf operations at Colorado National Golf Club.   “We have a great team and a superior product in a highly competitive space.”   Says Matt, “Our partnership with Bear Dance adds rocket fuel to our ability to grow our product offerings, and continue to grow the vision for Colorado National.  We are excited—this is fantastic news for our team and our loyal patrons.”
